How to apply

We welcome children of all nationalities, races and creeds at The British International School Abu Dhabi. Please get in touch – we’ll be only too glad to meet you.

The best thing to do is to contact our Admissions Officer to make an appointment. We’ll show you and your child around the school and introduce you to the Principal and potential Class Teachers. If it’s not possible to visit us at this stage, we can give you initial information by mail, fax, email or phone. For Primary students, we might ask to carry out English proficiency tests and a simple academic assessment.

We’ll then arrange a start date.

In addition to the forms, you will need to provide the following;

Passport copy
Birth Certificate copy
Most recent school reports and/or completion certificate (if transferring from another school)
10 recent colour passport size photos
Parents residence visa and passport copies
Visa letter to be supplied by sponsor company

If you prefer, you can fax the completed admissions form to (+971) 2 447 4347 and follow it with all the other documents in the post. Once we receive your full application and invoice the registration fee of AED 500, we’ll be in touch to confirm whether we’ll be able to enrol your child.

Registration and enrolment fees can be paid directly to our school bank account. This will ensure your child's place at the school. If you live outside of the UAE, transfers are made in AED (UAE dirhams) and you may find there are some charges from your bank for the foreign exchange. Including your child's name as part of the remittance description will ensure correct allocation to your application file.
